Keep those blog ideas flowing
How do you keep a steady supply of good ideas ready for your blog writing? Here is my technique. The important thing is to jot down or record on a hand-held recording device your blog ideas as they occur to me. If I don’t take action to record them they’ll often disappear with the next phone conversation or the events of the day.
I created a folder Blog Ideas on my hard drive to store my creative inspirations. For each new idea I have, I open up a new word processing document. (I use Pages on the Mac.) I’ll write down the main idea. If the creativity is flowing and I have the time, I’ll write down some bullet points or supporting ideas. I don’t necessarily have a goal of sitting down and writing a whole blog post start to finish. I only have the goal of putting down what I can at that sitting.
